LELAND, NC (WWAY) — Terry Hood stands out on and off the court at North Brunswick High School.
Hood is a senior basketball player who led his team in rebounds, assists, blocks and deflections. He also broke the North Crunswick career record for deflections and steals, as well as leading the conference in steals.
Hood said he gets his school work done by managing his time well and he always makes time for his teammates, if they need any help off the court
Hood attributes the hard-work mentality he brings to the court and the classroom to two very special people in his life.
“My parents grew up working always trying to provide for me. I try to build myself up and lead by showing them I can do stuff,” Hood said.
Terry’s favorite subject is math and he also currently works at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Going forward, he wants to continue to play basketball at the next level and further his education, so he can one day provide for a family like his parents did for him.
